pozdrav! zanima me, če obstaja kakšen prehrambeni dodatek, ki vsebuje limonene. menda je tega največ v olupkih limone. se morda dobijo kakšne kapsule iz olupkov limon?

It is easy to tell you that dryer sheets and fabric softeners can lead to cancer and brain damage, but it would help if these chemicals were broken down a little further.

A common name that is found on the back of labels is benzyl acetate, which known to suspected of causing pancreatic cancer. Benzyl alcohol is another frequent find and is known to cause irritation in the upper respiratory tract. Ethanol, also easily found, is on the Environmental Protection Agency’s hazardous waste list, and is known to cause central nervous system disorders. Limonene is a known carcinogen.

Ethyl acetate is a narcotic on the EPA’s Hazardous Waste list. Pentane is hazardous if inhaled. Chloroform is a neurotoxin and a carcinogen. The chemicals in these products are so strong, that it takes about 50 times more fragrance to cover them up than is used in perfumes. Need I go on? I could, but I think you are getting the not-so-bright picture. Fabric softeners stay in your clothing for a lot longer than they should, and the chemicals found within them are released into your skin and into the air for you to absorb. Some lesser effects of fabric softener exposure are headaches, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, and blood pressure reduction. No big deal I suppose, but I would rather save my health than have soft clothing.

skoda ker nimam podatkov za slovenske vode ceprou dvomm da so cool! kar pomeni da se skozi obleko prenasajo tudi strupi iz vode.

Čudno! nekje sem pa bral, da naj bi Limonene, spodbujala nek encim v jetrah, ki skrbi za odstranjevanje strupov, ki povzročajo raka.

General

 

Limonene and its oxidation products are skin irritants, and limonene-1,2-oxide (formed by aerial oxidation) is a known skin sensitizer. Most reported cases of irritation have involved long-term industrial exposure to the pure compound, e.g. during degreasing or the preparation of paints. However a study of patients presenting dermatitis showed that 3% were sensitized to limonene.(6)

 

Limonene causes renal cancer in male rats, but not in female rats or in mice of either sex, due to binding of the metabolite limonene-1,2-oxide to α2u-globulin, a protein produced only by male rats. There is no evidence for carcinogenicity or genotoxicity in humans. The IARC classifies d-limonene under Class 3: not classifiable as to its carcinogenicity to humans. [1]

 

Europe

 

Limonene is listed in annex 1 of the directive 67/548/EEC under index number 601-029-00-7 [2]. The pure substance is classified as irritant (Xi) and dangerous for the environment (N). The following risk and safety statements are obligatory:

 

* R10: Flammable.

* R38: Irritating to skin.

* R43: May cause sensitization by skin contact.

* R50/53: Very toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.

* S2: Keep out of the reach of children.

* S24: Avoid contact with skin.

* S37: Wear suitable non-latex gloves.

* S60: This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste.

* S61: Avoid release to the environment. Refer to special instructions/Safety data sheets.

 

Limonene is not specifically mentioned in directive 1999/45/EC, and so the labelling of preparations containing this compound is at the discretion of the manufacturer.

hm, zanimivo....

sej pol pa človk sploh ne ve, a bi si nabavil to, ali ne...

za kavo tudi govorijo, da je znan antioksidant in je zato dobra za srce, po drugi strani pa pišejo (prebrala danes), da kava pospešuje krvni tlak in s tem avtomatsko višjo raven holesterola v krvi...

z obema trditvama se strinjam

 

torej za vse velja takole : je zdravilno, vendar v zmernih količinah

 

hej free! hvala za knjižico, sem prebrala. Zdaj sem bila bolj malo doma in nisem imela toliko časa, da bi se poglobila v to. Tudi moja mami je rekla, da je že slišala za to, en njem prijatelj je bil v Himalaji (alpinist) in pripovedoval potem o tej vodi.
