the first sentence looks quite strange to me??

maybe becasue it's so long.

english language usually do not use so much commas (vejice) that slovenian, so maybe it could be difficult to read long sentences to non-englishmen.

I finally managed to write my English text I had for homework - it took me a whole week! And, interestingly enough, it was about motivation.

 

I find this 'healthy salt' promotion everywhere; anyway, it's nice that somebody else has joined in. All the contributions to our treasury of knowledge are welcome!

I agree that learning languages is a useful thing to do and that everybody should learn at least one foreign language, but...

There are many Slovenes who don't even speak Slovene properly and I think there should be a law about learning our own language first.

 

Something about the grammar

I suppose the quoted statement was meant as a question. In that case, the order of words should be slightly different. Also, you do something FOR a certain period, so the correct sentence would be:

I've neglected this topic for a while... I guess I just haven't been in a mood for writing in English.

But since I'm enjoying a holiday this week I thought I might renew the theme and practice some English myself.

Now it strikes me... hasn't Sun just moved from Taurus to Gemini ... must be something about it

 

There must be something about the weather, too (to start with the ordinary small talk)... I think I feel more alive when the weather is fine and warm. I really missed the sunshine for the last few months... it was so cold and soggy most of the time ... not that I was depressed about the weather but it feels so different when the sun is shining and you can take off the winter clothes

 

I spent the previous weekend in Umag and it was so cold they had to turn on the heating in the hotel x!x And there were rain showers every now and then The organizers had problems finishing all the competitions and they had to change the schedule all the time :o|o:

The best way to learn English is to read books, magazines, newspaper in English. Or you can watch a film but you have to cover the subtitles so you cannot see the translation. Or (like I did before and still) watch Cartoon network, MTV, Hallmark, Animal planet, Discovery, National Geographic...

 

There are so many ways to learn and they are much cheaper than different courses.

 

That is my advice.

To, da je na FDV men osebno ne pomeni prevec.

Drugace pa zgleda dost pocen...intenzivni tecaji so ponavadi okoli 100 jurjev ( za ang ne vem..vem pa za francoscino).

Najbolsi so zame tecaji, k je zelo malo folka v skupini, ko govorimo samo v pac doticnem jeziku...

Itak pa se recimo nemscine nisem naucila lih v soli, ampak sem na besediscu pridobila v nemciji. prfoksa v soli me je sam naucila slovnice, da sem sla pol na maturo...

 

Ne vem no...raje placas vec, pa se resnicno naucis jezika, ne pa za mal dnarja v veliki skupini....
